I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
When I started this adventure, I was unsure where it would lead me.
What would people think? What if I don’t get any clients? Can I really do this?
Time, experience, and encouragement from an amazing community of creatives got me through this slump. Friends would give me honest feedback, mentors would critique my photos, and encouragement came from strangers and friends. I was growing as a business owner and a photographer.
A fellow Rising Tide Society friend, Adrien Evans with Pine and Blossom Photography sent me a message on Facebook one evening.
“YOUR work is amazing too! Get out there! Submit submit submit!”
Me?! Submit to a publisher? They won’t publish my photos!
I took Adrien’s advice. I let myself be vulnerable… and I am so incredibly grateful.
I submitted a few of my most recent sessions to various publishers, one of the sessions being Jordan & Frank’s Engagement Session from last autumn. Guess what – we are published!
7 Centerpieces is a beautiful Texas Wedding blog that features incredible photographers across the state. I am honored to have Jordan & Frank’s Engagement Session featured on 7 Centerpieces this month! Check it out!
