More about me ->
I'm a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas. Every single day is one step closer to transitioning into a full-time Girl Boss, and it is an adventure to say the least. So grab your favorite cup of coffee and enjoy this ride with me.
Easier this year, I met Joanne and Katie from Lasting Impressions by Design at a Rising Tide Society meet up. We just happened to sit next to each other on that sunny day, and we started talking about our businesses and things we’d love to do. Joanne said something along the lines of “I want to plan a styled shoot that would appeal to a different type of bride. Like one who loves fun things like Star Wars but still wants her wedding day to be beautiful”. It was at that exact moment that I knew this would be the start of an incredible friendship.
After we brainstormed some ideas, Joanne and Katie hit the ground running and planned every last detail for this Star Wars inspired wedding styled shoot. I won’t do it justice like they did, so I’m going to share their take on the shoot!
Who doesn’t love Star Wars? It is such a wonderful story of good versus evil, that includes a love story, action, adventure, humor and all the exciting twists and turns. We are such huge fans of the movie franchise and never get tired of watching the movies. We wanted to design a wedding shoot that would show couples that they can incorporate details from certain things they love, like Star Wars, while still having the romantic and classic look of a wedding.
The main inspiration for the shoot was the beautiful color palette that runs throughout the movies. We selected gold and gray to be reflective of the many metallics, black and white to represent the fight between good and evil, and the beautiful red tones that appear in many of the movies as something negative, we also chose to represent the love story. From there, every detail of the shoot was selected to help bring our vision to life.
Also, in case you missed it, this shoot was featured on Wedding Chicks! HOORAY!
Of course, a HUGE shoutout to all the vendors who made this possible!
