An Engagement Session at Overlook Park in Canyon Lake, TX | New Braunfels Wedding Photographer

I love it when my couples choose to do their engagement session at Overlook Park. The field next to the dam just glows in the evening sun and then we make our way to the trails for a different look and feel. For Maddie and Matt though, this location was so much more than a beautiful backdrop. Maddie’s parents came along to help out with keeping everyone hydrated and making sure outfit changes. In between changes, Maddie’s mom told me how special this park was to her. They used to live right down the road from Overlook Park. When she was pregnant with Maddie (and 12 days overdue…), she and her husband would walk the trails trying to encourage Maddie to make her appearance. Twenty something years later, Maddie and Matt are back in the exact same spot to take their engagement photos! Isn’t that such a cool full-circle story?!

These two were so great and bursting at the seems in love with each other. It seriously made my job so easy! And can we talk about their spot-on outfit choices?! YASS!!! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their session!
