I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
This past Saturday marked the end of my very first full year of shooting weddings! WHAT?! It feels like yesterday that this whole journey was just starting. At the time, I wasn’t sure if this could be a legit thing or if I was just out of my mind. Luckily I wasn’t totally out of my mind and I am so thankful that this dream has become my full-time career!
So as I was going through images for behind the scenes photos, I realized a few things. First, I like to dance. A lot. If you hire me to be your wedding photographer, I will be dancing with you and your guests while I’m taking photos. Second, I realized that IÂ might have an embarrassing collection of the same dress. But y’all, it has pockets. That makes it acceptable, right?
I’m still in disbelief that I get to do this every single day. I am so thankful for all of my couples who have turned into friends and for all of my second shooters, family, friends, and vendors who have loved and supported me as my business grows!
Did I mention that I love to dance? 🙂
When I’m not dancing, I do a pretty good job of making myself look ridiculous to get the perfect shot!
I don’t know what I’d do without my amazing second shooters. Love every single one of you to pieces!Â
Breanna McKendrick being a badass on the beaches of Mexico.
Kori Newman for rocking the craziest wedding days with me.
Jessica Chole braving rain, wildlife and double header weekends with me.Â
Erica Sofet dancing the night away with me!Â
Pretending to toss a bouquet with Adrien Evans!
I’ve also bustled my fair share of dresses and pinned countless boutonnieres this year!
I also like to pretend I’m a bride making her grand entrance….
But the best part of this whole journey are the clients that turn into friends…
And my friends from all around the counrty who love and support me unconditionally.
I am so thankful that I get to live this dream.
2017, you have been a dream come true. Thank you.
