I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
It fills my heart when a friend asks me to capture a special time in their life. I was so excited and honored when Joey and Morgan asked me to document their intimate wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. If you know Joey well, you know that he doesn’t settle for anything less than the best. So for me to be their wedding photographer, that was a big deal in my eyes!
Morgan and Joey both grew up on the east coast and went to school in New York. Joey made his way to San Antonio through an IT internship at USAA 5 years ago where he was paired up with Andrew (my husband) for his roommate. Joey eventually accepted a full time job at USAA and him and Morgan made their way to the south to start their lives together in the great state of Texas. When they got engaged just over a year ago, they knew it would be hard to plan a big wedding since most family and friends are on the east coast. Instead, they chose to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their immediate family and closest friends and they will make their way home for a big celebration in the winter time!
The wedding festivities began when the Ninja Bus (yes, you read that right) arrived at the hotel to pick everyone up. Y’all, this bus was pretty epic. We kicked off the celebrations with drinks on our way to the small cliff side chapel. The weather was perfect for their sunset ceremony. Joey and Morgan said I do surrounded by their closest friends and family. There were happy tears, lots of hugs and so much joy. I am so glad I get to hide behind a camera sometimes. That way I can hide my smeared mascara during sweet ceremonies like this one!
The night ended with a fantastic dinner at Second Bar and Kitchen. There were heartfelt toasts, excellent food and drinks and an amazing time had by all.
Joey and Morgan – thank you for trusting me with your special day. Andrew and I are so lucky to call you friends. We both wish you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and great cocktails. 🙂
