Like, I may or may not have a Steve Jobs quote tattooed on my ribcage. This whole journey as a photographer really started for me when I worked at Apple in the iPhone 4 and iPad OG days. Sure, I loved technology, but what I loved more was the fact that a machine had the ability to change someone’s life. The computer that they had in their bag was their tool to create amazing things and change the world, and I helped them learn how to use that tool. I was pretty sure I had found my calling. I wanted to work in technology. What I didn’t realize at the time though, was God was shaping my heart to serve the world with technology in a way that I never had imagined...

While working as a Software Developer, I bought my first camera on Groupon. I had always enjoyed taking pictures, but to me, this camera was more about having a fun new gadget to learn. I spent hours learning the intricacies of this machine that captured memories. I learned what it meant to make a vision come to life by adjusting settings on the camera. I completely fell in love with it. Now, at this time, 95% of my photos were of my dog, Dolly, but it all changed when my mom asked me if I’d take some pictures at her wedding reception. I think back to that time, and I realize that I literally had no idea what I was doing, but that one night changed everything for me.
