I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
For someone who works primarily on the weekends, a Saturday off is quite the treat. This Saturday was spent at a bridal shower for my friend and bride-to-be, Stephanie. I met Stephanie and her fiancé Joseph at my day job almost three years ago. Since then, they have been fantastic intramural kickball teammates and even better friends! One thing you should know about Stephanie and Joseph is their admiration for their gorgeous whippet pups, Pojo and Ada. After they got engaged, Steph had asked me about taking engagement photos with their precious pups. Seriously though, how often does a photographer get to have an engagement session with whippets AND awesome friends?! Excited is an understatement.
Stephanie’s bridal shower was gorgeous. Her maid of honor and bridesmaids put on an incredible party, full of perfect details, fun games and great food. One of my favorite details were the balloons that filled the room that had photos hanging at the bottom – about half of them were the engagement photos I took for her! My goal as a photographer is to give my clients something they will love and cherish for the rest of their lives, and to see some of my photos being loved by friends and family meant the world to me.
On the way home from her shower, I had a sudden realization. Because this engagement session was being featured by 7 Centerpieces, (yay!) I actually never got around to sharing it on my own blog! How have a let this engagement session go unshared?! As a result of my discovery, this Thursday is going to be a Throwback Thursday.
On a autumn day last year, we packed up the pups and made our way to Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne, TX. Between the perfect weather and most importantly, gorgeous autumn colors, we had a perfect backdrop for this session full of wet noses. It seems like this location never disappoints. The yellow and orange leaves were perfect for their upcoming October wedding which is quickly approaching – YAY!
I hope you love this gorgeous session that is finally being shared! Congratulations Stephanie and Joseph. I am so blessed to call you friends!
