I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
I have the best job on the planet. I really do. Some of y’all may think “don’t you just take photos?”. Sure, I take photos, but in reality, its so much more than that. I am in the business of preserving memories.
One of my favorite photographer duos – Justin and Mary – say it so well. “Time marches on and this moment is gone and this moment is gone. And this moment is gone. But photography says “no, not this one. This moment stays.” “
That is why I do what I do.
Most of the time, the memories I preserve are during a wedding day or as a young senior is preparing to graduate, but every once in a while I get to be part of a different kind of memory. A few weeks ago, my friends Joey and Morgan got the keys to their first home. Their home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just outside of town, and it literally made me gasp when I walked inside. I’m pretty sure all of my home dreams came to life when I saw their bright and open space!
We spent a few hours exploring the empty rooms in their home and taking photos as they soaked it all in. They have worked so hard for this, and they can finally call it home.
To top it off, as I was editing these photos and getting this post ready, these two got ENGAGED! What an adventure life can be if you let it.
Thank you for letting me be part of this special time in your life, Joey and Morgan!
