I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
I remember the moment I realized that I wanted to be a wedding photographer. I was second shooting for my friends at Ragan Patterson Studios, and it had started raining. It wasn’t just a little rain though, it was enough to turn the wonderfully planned outdoor ceremony into a tight fitting, indoor ceremony. I couldn’t imagine how the bride felt – I was stressed out and it wasn’t even my wedding! But when I made my way to the bridal suite, she was calm and as excited as can be. She got to marry the love of her life that day, and there was nothing else that mattered. Her excitement and love for her soon-to-be husband was obvious throughout the evening, and I had the honor of documenting that special moment in time. What an incredible way to make a positive impact on someone’s life…
When Courtney and Joe booked me for their wedding and engagement photos, I knew right away this was going to be one of those special weddings where no detail, plan, or delay would take away from the real reason why they were there. It was time to start a life together as one, and nothing else mattered.
The Holguin Wedding took place on a warm Wednesday afternoon in May, right along the gorgeous San Antonio Riverwalk. They had sunshine, few close friends and family, and so much joy in their hearts. Courtney had handmade both her burlap bouquet and her husband’s boutonniere, and small pops of red filled each detail. Courtney and Joe’s intimate wedding will forever go down in my book as one of my favorites, because there’s no detail that is prettier than genuine joy and love from the couple.
Courtney and Joe, it was an absolute honor to document this special moment in time. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for trusting me with one of your most precious moments.
