I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
LAUREN AND EV ARE MARRIED, YALL! Two of my dear friends finally tied the knot and we were so thankful to be there to celebrate! It’s not every day that we get to travel across the country, so we made a mini-vacation out of it!
Our adventure started with an early morning flight that landed in San Fransisco around 10AM. We grabbed our bags, picked up our (tiny) rental car, and made our way to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Warf to explore. We tasted some wine, ate delicious fried fish, enjoyed the beautiful day with friends, and caught a ridiculous amount of water Pokemon. 😉
Guys… the obsession is real.
The next day (which happened to be my birthday!) was spent enjoying the wine country.
Gosh, how’d I get so lucky with this handsome man?!
My incredible friends surprised me with my favorite cake – mint chocolate chip ice cream cake!
Thursday was another day of exploring. The boys made their way to “Man Camp” for fishing and other man things, while Tyfany and I went shopping where I found the PERFECT dress for when I shoot weddings. After the boys got back, we went back to San Fransisco for hot chocolate at Ghirardelli Square and rides down Lombard street. It was so cold in the city that we had to stop and buy fleeces on the street. These Texans were not prepared for this weather…
Andrew and I ventured back into the city Friday morning for a little more exploring and fresh crab. We decided to take the BART instead of driving ourselves, and I have to say this was MUCH better. Driving in SF was just so stressful! We stopped by the Sourdough factory and grabbed coffee and explored Union Square. We didn’t have much time to spare though, we had a rehearsal dinner to attend!
We met so many of Lauren and Ev’s incredible friends and family and they hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner with DELICIOUS food and drinks! There were even some surprise guests there for Lauren and Ev!
Saturday was the big day! I am very intentional about not bringing my camera to a wedding where another professional photographer is working, but here are some iPhone pics of the beautiful wedding!
See that filter?! I MADE IT! Snapchat filters might be an add on item for my wedding clients in the future! HOW GORGEOUS IS THIS VENUE?! Sunday was a long and stressful travel day. We enjoyed brunch with family and friends and then made our way back to San Fransisco. We stopped by the Golden Gate Bridge to (attempt) to get a photo, but it was so foggy! Oh well, maybe next time.
We made our way to the airport a bit early and we are thankful we did. Our flight had been delayed 3 hours and we wouldn’t have made our connection, but because we were there early, we were able to get on a flight that brought us home 3 hours earlier than expected. A huge shout out to Southwest for taking care of us!
What an incredible week. We are so happy for Lauren & Ev and we are so thankful that we were able to celebrate their wedding week!
