I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
When I find something I like, I’m the kind of girl that buys the same thing in every color. This is especially true of Tieks, Kendra Scott Earrings, and Express Portofino blouses. After some attempts to mix it up and find new pieces, I gave up. I wasn’t doing well at being adventurous. This is where Stitch Fix enters my life.
About a year ago, I signed up for Stitch Fix and filled out the member profile. I was assigned to Kayla (shout out to the best stylist EVER!) and I have been lucky enough to have her for every box so far! I help Kayla out by maintaining a Pinterest board with items that I liked and I explained what I liked about each thing. This Pinterest board has been a HUGE help with the items I receive, and sometimes I even get the exact item I’ve pinned!
The biggest problem I’ve had lately is choosing what I want to keep. Kayla has done such a fantastic job with the Fixes she sends me, I want to keep everything! Now, this isn’t always a bad thing (you get 25% off your whole order if you keep all 5!), but when you’re trying to pay off debt and save money for a wedding, I have to be really picky!
First up, the Pixley Ashland Knit Dress. Let me start by saying that I really wasn’t so sure about this pattern. When I tried it on though, I completely fell in love with it. The pattern was bold and fun, and the dress fit me PERFECTLY. I had a really, really hard time putting this one back in my box… but there was something else I loved even more and I was only letting myself keep 1 thing. Sigh…
Kayla, if you’re reading this, please keep this one close by. I might want it again after the wedding is over 🙂

Next up, we have the Adrianna Papel – Brynne Lace Dress. I wanted to love this one, but it’s not really my style. Kayla was trying to find me something to wear to my engagement photos, and this was a good pick, but not quite there. I also couldn’t get over the fact that the trim looked like Cheerios.

For the third item, the Skies are Blue Galice Tulip Sleeve Blouse.
This one was instant love for me when I saw it in my box. It was my favorite color and it had my favorite print on it (I LOVE FLORALS!) Once it was on though, it was a little too short for my liking and I just couldn’t love the sleeves. I didn’t care much for the little bump the split sleeves made, and my thicker arms just didn’t feel very flattering.
Skies are Blue – Galice Tulip Sleeve – $48 – RETURNED
Up next, the Alice Blue Gower Peplum Blouse.

I wear a lot of business causal type clothes at weddings and also my day job, so I loved this one right away. I have been looking for a simple white top, and Kayla did an awesome job at picking this one out! In the end though, it was a little too short and I liked my final item even more.
Last but not least, the Market & Spruce – Careen V-Neck Dolman Knit Top!
I obviously liked this one… I wasn’t excited or anything….
This one came straight off of my Pinterest board. It’s light weight, comfy, and it fit me exactly how I like it! YAS! Kayla for the win, again!
Market & Spruce – Careen V-Neck Dolman Knit Top – $48 – KEPT
I loved this one so much, it even made it into my engagement photos!
