I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
Ahh, my favorite delivery! Stitch Fix, I love you!
So what is this Stitch Fix, you ask? Basically, I get 5 items based on my style profile that I filled out on Stitch Fix and also my dedicated Pinterest board. I decide what I want to keep and I send back what I don’t. I am charged a $20 styling fee each time a box is shipped (which you can determine your shipping frequency), but if I purchase at least one item from my fix, it goes towards the cost of the item! I have yet to have a fix where I didn’t keep at least one item, so this has been fantastic!
Your Stitch Fix also includes a note from your stylist (shoutout to Kayla!), and a pre-paid envelope to send the unwanted items back in within 3 business days of receiving your fix. However, if you keep all 5 items in your fix, you get 25% off the items!
Let me show you what’s in my latest Fix!
First up, the Adelyn Rae Taliya Dress in Orange. I was a little hesitant of this dress as soon as I opened it. The cut is pretty, but I wasn’t so sure about the color. Not only do yellows/oranges tend to wash me out, but I have been in search of some dresses I can wear to events and also when I work weddings. For weddings, I’m okay with wearing a little bit of color, but I want to be a bit more subtle than what this dress would allow!
It was a bit small on my chest anyway, so back to Stitch Fix it went!

The next dress in my fix was the 41Hawthorn Jodee Dress in Cobalt. Okay, so I really liked this one. The cut was flattering and I LOVED the color. This dress could be dressed up with some heels and a belt or it could be worn as is for a more causal look. However, the sleeves were a bit tight on me. Sometimes I can deal with it, but this was too uncomfortable to spend $74 on. Womp womp.

Next is the Market & Spruce Walfrid Henley Blouse. Uh, YES! My stylist, Kayla, nails it again with this beauty! There are a few things I love about this top. First, it doesn’t have a collar. I have a ton of button up blouses, but all of them have a collar. I also love that this top is white. Why? because I live in Texas and the sun has no mercy for those who wear dark colors outside…

The last dress in this Stitch Fix is the Brixon Ivy Geneva Dress.
I started off really excited about this dress because I loved the color and the pattern, but I knew it was a no as soon as I put it on. The dress was too small on my 38″ rib cage (yes, it’s been a problem since high school…) and I couldn’t stand the neckline. I prefer v-neck or lower cut necklines but this was the opposite of that, and to be honest I felt like I was being choked! Oh well. Maybe this will be a hit for someone else.

My final item is the Brixon Ivy Elmar Embroidered Cutout Blouse in Coral. Obsessed. I love everything about this top. I love the color, I love the neckline and how it fit me, and I LOVE the cut out on the arms. It is so unique and unlike anything I have in my closet. This one is definitely a new favorite!
