I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
Normally, when I learn that someone is getting married, the first thing I ask is “when is the big day?!”. Thats a pretty normal question, right? When people learn about my wedding though, the first question they ask me is “So who is going to take your wedding photos?”. I even had one person ask me if I had planned to just use tripods and shoot the whole thing via remote! Silly friends, OF COURSE I hired another photographer and she’s INCREDIBLE!
I met Chandra and her husband Daniel at our local RTS Tuesday’s Together meeting a year ago. Chandra’s kind spirit and Daniel’s goofy personality just lights up a room, and I knew right away that I HAD to be friends with them. I was very new to the photography world at that point and I was in awe of her own journey to where she is now. Y’all, starting and running a business is tough, but one thing I’ve learned from Chandra is that no business algorithm, marketing tactic, or advertisement will replace being genuine and kind to your clients. Celebrate with them, love them, and remember what an honor it is to be sharing such a special time in your client’s lives!
When Andrew and I got engaged, I had an email out to a few of my favorite wedding vendors the next day, and one of them was Chandra. I knew that her energy was exactly what I wanted on my big day, and even though I had spent every Tuesday’s Together with her for the past year, I wanted to see her in action! It’s pretty special as a photographer to be in front of the lens every once in a while, especially when it’s the lens of someone you strive to be like. This is important of all of my vendors for my own wedding day, but this is especially true for my photographer and videographer (who I’ll talk about in a later post!).
Andrew and I had our engagement photos done earlier this year and I am so excited to share them with you! If you click on any of the photos, you’ll be taken to Chandra’s website – so click away!
A big thank you, thank you, thank you to Chandra and Daniel for documenting this special time in our lives.

Dawn,
Beautiful photography and a great website. I really love how you are not afraid to link to your friend’s wedding photography site. I am getting back into photography, my work is product and commercial.
