I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
The pastor said “Kimball, do you take Babett to be your lawfully wedded wife?” and he immediately responded with “YOU BETCHA!”. That was just the start of Babett & Kimball’s laughter filled wedding day at Sheraton Gunter Hotel!
It was a windy November day in Downtown San Antonio. Much to our dismay (Babett and I totally agree on this…), Christmas decorations were being set up on street lights and in parks even though Thanksgiving hadn’t even passed yet. Even with Christmas decorations everywhere, we managed to find plenty of beautiful locations for portraits. Babett looked absolutely incredible in her elegant gown, blue suede heels and sapphire earrings. Kimball looked fantastic too in his grey suit and black hat. The best part though, was that both of them were bursting with laughter the entire day. There was not a single dull moment with these two.
During Babett and Kimball’s first look, Babett surprised her groom with one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever seen. She gave him a handkerchief with the words “Love, Dad” on it. What I learned right before the exchange, was that Kimball’s father had passed when he was young. This handkerchief that Babett gave him, actually had his dad’s handwriting on it. What a special way to honor Kimball’s dad on their wedding day.
The evening was full of live music, toasts given by song, and dancing. Their ballroom was full of the most stunning florals and antique centerpieces. It was truly the perfect touch to their elegant day!
