I’m a twenty-something wedding photographer in Texas who photographs couples who are ready to celebrate their marriage. Building my business has been one hell of a ride, so grab a cup of coffee (or some wine - no judgement here) and join me for my life behind the lens.
When Shauna and Nick asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding in Cabo, I was elated. At the time, I had shot just one wedding under Dawn Elizabeth Studios. I couldn’t believe I was going to be photographing a destination wedding in Mexico! Queue the happy dance!
After a whole year of waiting for their big day to arrive, Breanna and I packed our bags (and our husbands) and made our way to Cabo San Lucas. As soon as we got to the resort, we dropped our bags off in the hotel room and went straight to Shauna’s room to kick off the week with her Bachelorette Party. Just to keep things short and sweet here, let’s just say we had a ton of fun celebrating the bride to be, and we made so many new friends! We spent the next few days relaxing by the pool, drinking daiquiris, and exploring downtown Cabo looking for the best Tacos in Mexico.
When Bre and I saw the ceremony and reception location for the first time, we couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. The view from the Sunset Monalisa was something straight from a post card. Not only did it have a beautiful view of the ocean, but you could also see the island that Nick proposed to Shauna on (see that arch in the distance in the photo above? That’s where he asked her to marry him!). Nick and Shauna’s day was absolutely perfect. The weather was beautiful and they were surrounded by the most incredible family and friends. It was definitely a wedding that I will never forget!
So let's take our new relationship offline and meet face-to-face for hugs and a warm beverage!
